Gerald Ford was born Leslie Lynch King Jr. in Omaha in 1913; after his parents divorced, his mother moved to Grand Rapids and remarried, and he was renamed Gerald Rudolph Ford Jr. He grew up in Grand Rapids and became the 38th President.
